Bowdoin Lands Local Duo  (From New England Recruiting Report)

Bowdoin College has picked up a pair of early commitments in Boston College High School’s point guard Bryan Hurley and Lincoln Sudbury’s John Swords

Hurley is a scoring lead guard who has put up big numbers throughout the course of his career at B.C.H.S.  Able to put points on the board with both his jumper and his dribble penetration, Hurley also stood out this summer on the AAU circuit with the Middlesex Magic team that made its run this summer in Orlando.

Swords is a six-foot-eleven big man who has a high potential ceiling.  Although still raw in many areas, Swords’ size gives him a weapon that cannot be taught.  His other assets include a very high release inside the lane, relatively soft touch, and ability to block/alter shots around the rim on the defensive end of the floor.

Lincoln-Sudbury's Mitch Perez commits to Union College (From Beantown Hoops)

Sharpshooter Mitch Perez of #10 Lincoln-Sudbury has committed to play at Union College next season.  He first caught our eye at the SES Showcase presented by Beantownhoops.com last May and continued to impress in off-season workouts this summer.  Union will be getting one of the best shooters in Eastern Mass and more importantly, a hard working player who is coachable and is always looking to get better.  Be sure to watch Mitch play this season as he leads a strong L-S team in the always tough DCL.
